Zelda Wii U Debut Trailer Now Most Viewed Nintendo YouTube Video

That escalated quickly

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s debut trailer for Wii U is now the most viewed video on Nintendo of America’s YouTube channel.

Nintendo unleashed the game’s trailer just one week ago during their first day at E3 2016 in Los Angeles, Calif. Since its release on June 14, the video has amassed 6.3 million views, surpassing the company’s near three-year-old Nintendo 2DS introduction video.

Indeed, it’s a noteworthy milestone for Breath of the Wild’s debut footage, but it’s perhaps an equally large feat for Nintendo’s YouTube channel. Sitting comfortably at the No. 3 spot is the “Nintendo Direct Presentation – Splatoon Game Overview” trailer with about 4.4 million total views.

For the sake of comparison, The Pokémon Company’s “Discover Pokémon in the Real World with Pokémon GO” trailer has tallied up more than 25 million views since its debut on September 9, 2015.
