Video game accessory company Hori USA will reveal their Wii U classic controller based on the original GameCube controller during E3 2014.
An official document titled “E3 2014 ‘First Looks’ Products By Company,” has today been discovered on the E3 website. It was unearthed by one of the members from online gaming community NeoGAF, and shows some interesting information for Wii U owners.
Specifically, it reveals that a Wii U Classic Controller — manufactured by video game hardware accessory company Hori, USA — will be announced during E3 2014.
The product description, as shown in the official documentation, reads the following:
Wii U Classic Controller
“Controller Pad for the Wii U. Design is based on the popular GameCube controller which features dual analog sticks and ergonomic button layout for easy access to all buttons. This controller can be used for playing a variety of current games and downloadable titles from the past, and it is ideally suited to play Super Smash Bros for Wii U which will surely be a smash hit.”
Just one week ago, the GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U was revealed during the official trailer for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Invitational @ E3 2014 tournament.
While visual details about Hori’s new Wii U Classic Controller remain a mystery, there’s no doubt the new hardware will be welcomed for fans of the Super Smash Bros. series and those who enjoy the look and feel that the original GameCube controller offers.
