The Deer God Prances to Wii U eShop December 2015

The Deer God, a game about survival, karma, and reincarnation is coming to the Wii U eShop this December, indie publisher Mobot Studios announced.

In The Deer God, players explore a 3D pixel art adventure while living, loving and surviving as a lone deer — a journey that will “challenge your religion and your platforming skills.” Classic titles like Metroid, Zelda, Blaster Master, and Kid Icarus inspired studio Crescent Moon Games during the game’s development.

The project first launched in June 2014 on Kickstarter, ultimately gaining support from nearly 3,000 fans and securing the title for release on multiple platforms including: Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, Ouya, iOS, and Android. A Nintendo 3DS version was planned, but missed funding by just a few thousand dollars.

You can check out the most recent trailer below which released alongside the mobile and Xbox One versions of the game.
