Nintendo is developing Lucas DLC for Super Smash Bros. and plans to offer the new playable fighter this June, today’s Nintendo Direct announced.
Lucas, the protagonist of the Japan-only GBA game Mother 3, was a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Wii. His return to Nintendo’s all-star fighting series comes just a couple of months after the return of Mewtwo, who will be available on April 15.
The upcoming Lucas DLC will keep most of the boy psychic’s moveset from Brawl, which is already similar to the attacks used by Ness.
Super Smash Bros. series director Masahiro Sakurai previously said that his team had no plans to develop more paid DLC after Mewtwo, but that no longer seems to be the case. Nintendo has opened a “Fighter Ballot” on the games’ official website asking fans to suggest characters to add to the roster. Submissions can be given until October 3, 2015.

Additionally, a host of paid DLC for both versions of Super Smash Bros. will be available in a new DLC shop. Eight new Mii Fighter costumes, some based on Mega Man, The Legend of Zelda and Xenoblade Chronicles, will arrive on April 15.
Each costume will cost 75 cents each for one version of the game or $1.15 for both versions. A bundle of all costumes will be priced at $6 for one version or $9.20 for both. To see the costumes in action, check out the video below.
