The next game in the Just Dance series, Just Dance 2017, arrives this October on numerous consoles, with a confirmed release on Nintendo NX.
During Ubisoft’s press conference at E3 2016 yesterday, the publisher/developer announced that their upcoming popular music hit will arrive on Wii U, Wii, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 and, for the first time ever, digitally on PC.
“For starters, there’s Just Dance Machine, a frantic new mode that challenges you to perform different kinds of dances (including flamenco, ballet, and the cancan) to help your alien captors return home,” Ubisoft noted on their official blog. “It also introduces 40 new tracks by diverse acts including Sia, Major Lazer, Hatsune Miku, and Queen.”
In addition, the Just Dance Unlimited streaming service will add more than 200 songs throughout the year, with new melodies scheduled for release during memorable moments such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, weddings, and more.
With confirmation of Just Dance 2017 on Nintendo NX, it’s clear Nintendo is incorporating its motion-controlled technology into their next generation of video game hardware — at what extent is still unknown, however. Nintendo says they will not share new information about NX during E3 2016.
