Indie Dev Honors Iwata With Limited-time eShop Sale

In honor of Satoru Iwata, indie developer 4 Corner Games is holding a limited-time eShop sale to give fans a chance to have fun with their games.

Until 9 a.m. PT on July 18, Nintendo fans in North America can download the developer’s two games for the total price of $0.11. I’ve Got to Run! on the Wii U eShop is $0.01, while I’ve Got to Run: Complete Edition! on the Nintendo 3DS eShop is $0.10.

Both games are endless runners that offer multiple gameplay options; players fills the shoes of a running marshmallow boy. The goal for each is to run as far as you can in various themed environments while racking up points.

Satoru Iwata once said, “Games are to be one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone.”

Syrenne McNulty is the sole Wii U and Nintendo 3DS developer from 4 Corner Games. She’s had a passion for Nintendo growing up, and she’s since she was and she thinks every game should be focused around offering an enjoyable experience.

“I want to completely remove the barrier to entry for enjoying a quick game,” McNulty said. “I hope you pick it up, and if they bring you even one minute of happiness, I’ll feel I’ve done my job.”

As a reminder, the Epic Indie Sale is taking place on the Wii U eShop until July 23, where Wii U owners can save 60 percent on some of the most popular titles offering in the eShop.
