Batman: Arkham Origins Features No Multiplayer, Costs $10 Less

Batman: Arkham Origins (Wii U)

Holy no multiplayer mode, Batman!

According to the official Batman: Arkham Origins website, the game’s multiplayer option will not be included for the Wii U version. As a result, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has lowered the price of the Wii U version from $59.99 to $49.99.

While the reason is still unknown as to why multiplayer functionality was omitted, it’s unarguably a fair gesture that the price of the software was compensated for the consumer.

The online component blends the traditional Arkham gameplay with third-person shooter mechanics and is in development by Splash Damage. Multiplayer will be available for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC. The game is scheduled to launch worldwide Oct. 25, 2013.

We have contacted the Splash Damage for a statement regarding the lack of multiplayer. We will provide updates when we receive a response.

Thanks to Cody for sending the news tip!
