Since it was created in 1999, Nintendo of America has owned SIRAS.com Inc., a subsidiary company that provides solutions to manufacturers and retailers to catalog their inventory. SIRAS was originally founded to help Nintendo track its products by identifying stolen goods and managing returns. Over the years, however, its business has expanded as SIRAS’s technology was adopted by other companies and industries.
It was announced today that Nintendo has sold SIRAS to Atlanta-based company InComm. InComm is known for its prepaid gift card technology, but plans to use SIRAS’s point-of-sales solutions to advance its business. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
