Long-awaited DLC content will be available for Super Smash Bros. on June 14, including the Miiverse stage, Splatoon Mii Fighter costumes and Lucas DLC.
The new playable fighter, Lucas from Mother 3, will cost $3.99 to add to a single version of the game — either the Wii U version or the Nintendo 3DS version. For $4.99, players can add Lucas to both versions of the game.
Players who pre-ordered Splatoon from GameStop already received a free download code for Splatoon Mii Fighter costumes in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Those codes can be redeemed beginning June 14.
For those without GameStop-issued download codes, the Splatoon Mii Fighter costumes will go on sale the same day.
The Inkling Wig and Inkling Outfit together will cost $0.75 for one version of the game and $1.15 for both versions. The same prices apply to the Inkling Squid Hat.
Lastly, the Miiverse stage, which displays user-generated handwritten messages in the background, will be distributed for free via a software update to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, also on June 14.
Purchasing the Mii costume and Lucas DLC for Super Smash Bros. varies depending on the version. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, players must use the Nintendo eShop; for the Nintendo 3DS version, players use the in-game Shop.
The Miiverse stage was revealed before the game even launched, during the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U 50 Fact Extravaganza.
