Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam is Full of Bugs and Glitches

Since its global launch on Nintendo 3DS last month, fans have unearthed a combination of nearly 40 bugs and glitches in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

Many critics have given high praise to developer AlphaDream’s latest entry in the Mario & Luigi series, including us. When we reviewed the game in November, we commended the developer for having “refined its own RPG formula to near-perfection while accommodating another series.” We awarded it 4.6 out of 5 stars.

However, a YouTube playlist has recently surfaced, bringing light to a cornucopia of known bugs and glitches.

The video compilation, below, shows off numerous stage shortcuts and out of bounds glitches. Worse yet, some of the bosses in the game can be completely skipped. (Remember that article we published in November 2014 about the Sonic Boom glitch that let players skip the final boss?)

It’s currently unknown if AlphaDream plans to distribute a software patch to address any potentially serious issues.

Of course, this is not the only recent Nintendo-published game to bear bugs. Splatoon has seen its fair share of wild and crazy madness; last month, someone executed an interesting glitch by making use of the conveyor belt in the Piranha Pit map.
