Wayne Brady isn’t just the animated and charismatic host for sidesplitting comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway?. In fact, you’ve likely seen him on television in other shows such as: How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, and Let’s Make A Deal. But that just scratches the surface of Wayne’s robust resume of filmography.
Aside from being a great singer, there’s something wonderfully nerdy about 41-year-old Wayne; something you may have never known before today.
Online entertainment source GamerHub.TV recently had the chance to site down with Wayne while he was shooting a series of online vignettes for Nintendo. Wayne shares that he had a first-hand chance to experience Wii Party U — Nintendo’s newest Wii U party title featuring over 80 mini-games, released earlier today. While simultaneously playing with three controllers, Wayne maintains that he’s always a winner.
Wayne further replies to a question, stating:
I was a huge, huge Super Nintendo guy. So even the original NES… the very first Mario Bros., that’s what got me hooked on gaming. I wasn’t a Donkey Kong person. Pac-Man, Galaga…when I went to the bowling alley with my parents maybe, but at home…Super Mario Bros., Double Dragon, Spy Hunter, BurgerTime (that was the early version of that), 1942 — the shooters like that. Then I got into all the other systems and the fighting games.
Wayne further explains that he has “pretty much rocked that [NES] since he was fourteen-years-old.
FACT: Wayne’s favorite memory of all-time is when he beat Super Mario Bros. by himself. He even took a Polaroid of the screen to prove to everyone at school that he beat it.
