The Pokémon-Amie feature introduced in Pokémon X & Y used to build bonds with Pokémon will return in updated fashion in Pokémon Sun & Moon.
When Trainers had their first taste of Pokémon-Amie, it was a bit bland — feed your Pokémon berries, tickle it with a stylus, and make it take a nap. Even Pokémon director Junichi Masuda admitted parts of the feature were a bit pointless during a 2013 interview with Satoru Iwata.
However, the newly revised version of Pokémon-Amie for Pokémon Sun & Moon seems to have learned a few lessons from X & Y. For example, Trainers can now groom their pocket monsters with a brush or comb and the stylus can be used as an on-screen Porygon hair dryer. But the feature’s full purpose and potential remains to be seen this time around.
In addition, the new Japanese trailer shows one of the new Pokémon, Kiteruguma, leaked earlier today by CoroCoro Comic, interesting Trainer poses (for what appears to be something similar to Synergy Burst), riding on the backs on Pokémon, and more.
Feel free to check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts about the newly updated Pokémon-Amie feature. Stay tuned to Nintendo News for more information.
