Scizor Swarms to Pokkén Tournament Arcade on October 20

The Pincer Pokémon Scizor swarms to the arcade version of Pokkén Tournament as the newest Battle Pokémon next week, a new trailer reveals.

Bandai Namco announced that Scizor will join the fight during a Japanese Niconico livestream on Thursday evening. The dual Bug/Steel-type Pokémon, who evolves from Scyther, will make its way to the arcade cabinets on October 20.

While the game files for the Wii U version of the game still reference Darkrai, Scizor, and Empoleon, none have made their appearance on Wii U. It’s unknown if Bandai plans to ever release them on a Nintendo platform.

The new gameplay trailer below shows the contender battling against other known combatants Lucario, Pikachu, Suicune, and others. At one point, Scizor Mega Evolves into Mega Scizor to unleash a series of punishing blows.
