Less than one week after launching in the U.S., Android users have installed Niantic Labs’ new Pokémon game, Pokémon GO, 10 million times.

Just yesterday, Nintendo News reported that Pokémon GO hit its 5 million download milestone across U.S. Android users. Today, that accomplishment has been shattered, and hype surrounding the game doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

According to the Google Play Store, Trainers have downloaded Pokémon GO somewhere between 10 and 50 million times. In addition, the app still maintains the top position on the “Top Free,” “Top New Free,” “Top Grossing,” and “Trending” charts.

The image below comes from Google’s digital storefront. To put things into perspective, Pokémon GO has been downloaded and installed more times than there are total people in New York City (8.6 million), Hong Kong (7.3 million), and Los Angeles (3.9 million).

  1. Those 10 million aren’t even all the people who play it. I’m outside the US and it’s not officially launched here yet. But about everybody I know plays it and I see lots of people roaming the streets with pokemon go on their Phones.
