Mew, Mewtwo, Ditto, Legendary Images Found in Pokémon GO Files

Someone discovered Pokédex images of Mew, Mewtwo, Ditto, Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres while recently sifting through the Pokémon GO files.

A Reddit user by the name of NeoProfessorWillow found image assets for the six Pokémon — all of which are currently unavailable to obtain through normal gameplay.

Another Reddit user compared the images to the models used in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y on Nintendo 3DS, but NeoProfessorWillow says “they’re either the same models or higher poly ones.”

In addition, NeoProfessorWillow retrieved an interesting image that could possibly be used alongside future Pokémon GO events. “I found a McDonald’s icon which might point to a promo with them, maybe that’s how we get Legendaries? It’s in there as an asset for a button, so something is cooking in the McD oven for Pokémon GO.”

Either way, it will be interesting to see how players can catch Mew, Mewtwo, Ditto, and the Legendary bird trio. Meanwhile, Pokémon Trainers in Brazil, including the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, are patiently waiting for Niantic’s mobile blockbuster game to arrive in South America.

  1. Wait – in another article ( ) you mentioned someone called you dumb because you didn’t recognize that the mew appearing on a fake picture was from Smash Bros. Yet it’s the exact same picture of Mew you are revealing from the pokedex here. So if the present pictures aren’t fake, the Smash Bros comment you received was fairly stupid, innacurate, on top of being rude. Anyway, keep up with good content ;)
