Thanks to a keen-eyed reader of Nintendo News, it has been discovered that four of Nintendo’s popular Wii U titles have, apparently, received permanent price drops. According to the official Club Nintendo Mario Kart 8 offer page on Club Nintendo’s website, Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, and Wii Party U are all listed for $39.99.
While Nintendo’s newly reduced and appealing MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) figures for the four titles are clear, some major retailers are still offering those titles at their original, more expensive MSRPs. Amazon.com, for example, currently lists Pikmin 3 for $49.34. They do however list Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for a flat $35.00 — down $14.99 (30%) from its original price of $49.99.
Speaking of Mario Kart 8, be sure to check out the details for the free game offer if you haven’t already. Thanks to Billy for sending the news tip.
