It’s a kick in the digital diaphragm.
The 3DS eShop version of the high profile RPG soccer title Inazuma Eleven will not be making its way to the UK regions, as announced by the game’s developer LEVEL-5 International America. While highlighting that the decision was challenging, LEVEL-5 deems the title “unsuitable” because of the American English voice acting and downloadable game size constraints.
The title, a remastered version of the original installment released on the Nintendo DS in Japan in 2008 and Europe/UK in 2011, features stereoscopic 3D and updated visuals. Following last month’s Nintendo Direct presentation, an eShop-only version was released in North America and Australia. Strangely it was also released in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, but not the UK.
Thank you for your interest in INAZUMA ELEVEN. We regret to inform you that LEVEL-5 International America, Inc. has no plans to release the Nintendo 3DS™ eShop version of INAZUMA ELEVEN in the UK regions. While this was a challenging decision, it was deemed unsuitable to release a game with American English voice acting in a territory in which the franchise has been so firmly established with the British English voice cast and downloadable game size constraints prevented us from including both English voice options.
